Münster: For six weeks, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuche e.V. invited customers to the weekly auction under the motto "Every week on monday...". The last auction for the time being came to a successful end tonight. 24 foals with predispositioned for jumping changed owners for an average price of 7,865 Euros. Lot 1 was the most sought-after foal. Top Girl was sold for 17,500 Euros. Two thirds of the foals found new owners abroad.

It took almost 20 minutes till the virtual hammer dropped in the Bid Up for Number 1. A top offer for the future jumping sport is Top Girl. The Taloubet Z daughter was bred and exhibited by Walter and Heidi Bergmann, Goch, out of a dam by Chacco-Blue. The granddam to the chestnut filly was herself a multiple winner inadvanced level jumping competitions. She descents from the same dam line as the 1.60 m successful horses Pirol by Pilot (Lesley McNaught) and Pokemon by Polydor (Ulrich Kirchhoff). For a knock-down price of 17,500 Euros, Top Girl changed hands to a loyal Westphalian breeder. Also the most expensive stallion prospect of this collection is a descendant of Taloubet Z. Talourado S (breeder and exhibitor: Klaus Scherenberg, Wuppertal) descends from St.Pr.St. Diva by Diarado, who received a score of 8.5 for free jumping in her mare performance test. Well-known customers from Hungary invested 9,250 Euros for the bay. Cool Girl by Carthago Blue/Caspar (breeder: ZG Eisberg, Dörpen; exhibitor: Thomas Lüke, Steinheim) and Knight of Hearts by Karajan/Cornet Obolensky (breeder and exhibitor: Dr. Antonius Bornemann, Warendorf) also changed hands for 9,250 Euros.

It is not only in Germany that word has spread that highly talented foals with secured pedigrees can be purchased at the Westphalian online auctions. In the past weeks the number of customers from all over the world has been increasing. "We are always pleased about the great interest shown by foreign customers," confirmed auction and marketing manager Thomas Münch. Two thirds of the foals will leave Germany in the future. Customers from Switzerland (six foals) as well as from Hungary (three foals) and Sweden (two foals) were particularly successful. So far this year, 186 foals have been sold at the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. at an average price of 8,800 Euros. "This is a remarkable result that could only be reached with the confidence of breeders, exhibitors and customers in our work and the teamwork at the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V.", Thomas Münch summarized the auctions of the last weeks.

After six weeks of online auctions there is now a short break of auctions. An online auction for pony and special breed foals will follow on August 17. Riding horse foals will be auctioned in Westphalia again on September 7 and 14. As usual the collections can be found about one week before each auction at onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de with complete pedigrees, photos and videos. Nevertheless, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. will not rest this week. Tomorrow the traditional Westphalian Week starts in Münster-Handorf. Sportive highlights of the show days are the Westphalian Young Horse Championships with qualifications for the Bundeschampionat. In terms of breeding, the elite shows for riding horses and heavy horses (Friday from 3 pm) and riding ponies (Saturday from 10 am) are magnets for spectators which are admitted on the premesis at a limited number after prior registration. All competitions will be broadcast live on clipmyhorse.tv.
